Bag: Mahi Leather Duffel: https://mahileather.com/

The quality of this Mahi Leather duffel was a surprise to me! Not only was it more beautiful than the photo, it was also very high quality. The genuine smell of the Leather(instead of the chemical smell that most bags smell like when they come in the mail) was a delight.

After using it on 2 trips it still appears sturdy. You can hold 3 outfits, a pair of shoes, your necessitates, and a Laptop or tablet. I would recommend to not use the shoulder strap when carrying heavy item in your bag. It isn’t badly buildt it just brings a slight discomfort, but it is still sturdy. Also, the monnograming is amazing. It really helps to bring a sense of personality to the bag.

Stay tuned for post #2 where I’ll be posting pictures of my Mahi Leather duffel.

This bag was sent to me on behalf of Mahi Leather. However, this is my honest opinion of the bag.

Black on Black on Black

(leather jacket from LF Stores, metallic shirt from J. Crew, floral collar silk shirt from NU New York, Big Star USA leather jeans, bag from Kate Spade, black moto boots from Michael Kors)
So excited to be wearing these Big Star USA leather jeans! I’ve been looking for a pair of leather pants and I’ve seen them on multiple blogs, so when I saw these babies, I had to have them! They’re surprisingly comfortable and isn’t constricting at all. Someone at the agency mentioned that they looked more like silk than leather. Agreed?
I must say, I was a bit hesitant to wear leather pants and a pair of leather shoes AND a leather bag, but I’m glad I decided it, the feedback was overall positive. What do you guys think?

Adding Color to My Hair!!(Well more of making it lighter)

BLONDE….BLONDE HAIR!!!

So I recently had a crazy thing to dye my hair blonde which I did naturally during the summer with the help of the sun and a little lemon juice and bleach. So my natural hair gets faded really quick to a medium-dark brown color which looks like this:

My naturally faded hair when curled. I don’t know if curling your hair a lot with heat will affect you hair color but, its lighter than usual.

So I was willing to take the risk of dyeing my hair with semi permanent hair dye by myself after I took out my extensions and did a trim. I knew I couldn’t cut off all my hair because, I’ve seen my agency fire some girls for chopping off 3 inches of their hair right before a show day or dyeing it. But, it was summer so, I didn’t have much of a risk.

The whole process takes 1 week in total just to make sure my hair doesn’t fall out. So first I dunked my hair into a bowl of lemon juice, only the bottom part since I wanted to keep my roots the same color when I went blonde. I patted the excess off and went outside to go take a walk to a bakery to pick out a birthday cake for my friend Danielle while keeping my hair down and walking my hair faded so it looked like I had gotten highlights. P.S. it was a 30 min. walk to the bakery so my hair had plenty of time to dry. Here is a picture of it:

My hair after the lemon juice treatment taken by my wonderful friend Dylan while I was looking for a cake.

As you can see it looks like a perfect highlight job. But my hair was very brittle so, I decided to wait one week like I always do.

Fast forward one week later… I get out some hair bleach and decide to finally bleach it blonde. Please note I have a mixture of really light brown dye mixed in with the bleach. That is the only way I can achieve the hair color. My hair is natural and I bleach my hair. I takes about 30 minutes to apply it on my whole head of hair. I go on instagram while waiting (follow me @alliiop, shamelessly self promoting). I wash off the bleach-dye in about another 30 minutes and air dry my hair giving myself a more natural Cali-girl look. The results:

Verdict: I made a good decision my LA agency loved it and I got more bookings as well as representing offers on the street while walking around Los Angeles.

A supposingly “normal” day for me

*Note this is a significantly larger day for me*
Okay let’s explain about this day 5 a.m. wake up well, try to wake up. 20 minutes later getting in the shower and taking a shower. 20 more minutes out of the shower, while air drying my hair I brush my teeth and apply a light coat of makeup to cover up birth marks and freckles. Approx. 7minutes later put on casting clothes usually nude color underwear with a black tank top or a t-shirt with black skinny jeans and afterwards throw on a sweater or t-shirt on top. I throw my heels in my bag and my portfolio and rush out the door. I take the Q46 and the F or E train to go into Manhattan and additional trains or walking to arrive at my first casting. At about 8a.m. I arrive at my first casting and take the sweater off and prepare my things. Castings usually can take from 30minutes to 2hours because of waiting. Afterwards, I just attend the rest of my castings usually from 4-8 per day unless I have work I don’t go to any castings. After castings I usually go to the Model Lounge in Union Square to take a break and prep for tomorrow or I’ll go shopping for new casting clothes or just clothes at the GAP or J Crew which I frequent because their clothes are really true to size, I finish up and go back home unless I’m staying in Manhattan over the night. I usually prep my outfits and a typical outfit looks like this one but with a tank top underneath. Finally I take another shower if I didn’t go to the gym that day and go to sleep. Another note is that I have a very different workout schedule. I workout about 5 times per week.
